The concept of Wacky Word Search is to locate all the words within the page as quickly as you can. The idea is to complete your search faster than the time allotted. All of the words need to be found within that time frame. Some of the words will be in a straight line, some backwards in the puzzle and others on a diagonal. The words are random and may not always have a connection with one another.
To play, click on the link, where a screen will bring up the word search puzzle. In addition, there is a list of the words to be found on the right hand side in a column. Once you have clicked the play link, the time will automatically start. Underneath the column of words is a timer that begins at a five minute mark and will count down until all of your time has expired. This can be very challenging, but if you are an individual that is excellent at doing pencil and paper word search puzzles; this challenge may be right up your alley.
As you play, when you locate a word, drag your mouse over it and a box will form around the word. At the same time, a red line will appear through the word in the column, showing that it has been found. After this, a total score for that word will appear in your total column. This can be quite addicting, and most individuals will want to test themselves time and time again to see if they can better their previous score.
Once you have run out of time, if you do not find all of the words, the game will end, and the words you have not located will be highlighted in red, and the puzzle will tell you that you must be faster. Of course, you knew that, didn’t you?
