The Type Masta game is so much fun that no one would even think that they are increasing their typing speed to become better at typing letters. Type Masta has three different rounds or games. The first round is to see how quickly one can type all 26 letters of the alphabet. Once you click the start button, put your hands on the keyboard and get ready. A series of red lights will count you down and give you the signal to begin. As each letter pops up in a green circle on the right side of the screen, type that letter as quickly as you can.
Once you have typed all 26 letters, you can exit the game or go onto round two. Round two will bring up an opponent for the typist. That virtual individual will challenge you to a game where the fastest typist wins. Of course, the individual says some things; such as, you are too slow to win, and I will beat you, so give up now. That just ads to the fun of trying to win in Round two. If you do not beat the virtual individual’s time, you will definitely take some teasing. You can then choose whether to exit the game altogether or to try to beat that individual again.
If you complete Round two, there is a final Round 3, 4 and 5 that are for advanced typists. In addition, there is a help button that will define the game and let users know what it entails. It is challenging to keep your fingers placed on the keyboard in the right positions and be able to type one single letter at a time. This game will definitely let you know if you have good typing abilities or if you need to get in more practice time. This is a great little game for those who are just beginning to use a computer or typewriter or for those who need extra help.
